Sycamore Senior Center Honors Veterans with Monthly Program
The Sycamore Senior Center, located in Blue Ash, is proud to be have a long list of members that have served our country over the years. To honor the years of service these individuals have graciously provided The Center hosts a monthly Veteran's luncheon and program that is open to the public.
During this time community Veterans, their widows and families come together for fun, fellowship, food, and sharing. Each month features a guest speaker and entertainment as well as a great lunch served at your table. Sycamore staff work together with Veteran and volunteer Sgt. Homer Wilson to ensure an entertaining program is provided.
Luncheons begin at 12:30 p.m. on the last Friday of every month, and the cost to attend is $5. Reservations are required to secure food quantities. You may call Sgt. Homer Wilson at (513)745-0617 no later than one week before the luncheon to make your reservation. You may also make a reservation by calling The Sycamore Senior Center at (513)984-1234.
The Sycamore Senior Center mission is to stand as a foundation for older adults to live their lives with independence and dignity for as long as possible in their own homes. Center programs include education, health screenings, exercise and wellness programs, travel, social activities, computer training, a café and a nutritionally balanced, low-cost lunch program for seniors. Sycamore offers an award winning volunteer program and outreach services support homebound senior citizens. These services include providing transportation to the senior center, to medical appointments and to therapy visits. Sycamore also provides a volunteer driven meals on wheels program that delivers over 300 meals each day to the homebound elderly in 17 communities.
